Global collaboration

Race to Resilience campaign partners and aligned collaborators are catalysing a step-change in global ambition to build the resilience of 4 billion people by 2030. These efforts help frontline communities to adapt to impacts of climate change, such as extreme heat, drought, flooding and sea-level rise.

COP² is helping to integrate human resilience as a cross-cutting enabler across  these efforts, including food and agriculture systems; water and natural systems; human settlement systems; coastal and ocean systems; infrastructure systems; financial, planning and health systems.

These are the priority global systems for resilience captured within the Sharm El Sheikh Adaptation Agenda (SSA), 30 high-impact solutions and outcomes that aim to accelerate resilience to the climate risks faced by people in vulnerable communities. The SAA reported that our Roadmap and Early Adopter initiatives, which integrate psychological resilience within climate resilience, would be  delivered at COP28.  See them here!

In coordination with the Billion Minds Project at Columbia University, COP² is proud to be launching the first cohort of Early Adopter Projects, working with Partners of the Race to Resilience and front-line communities to tailor support that is relevant and as impactful as possible to each affected community.
